Born 9/21/08 at 9:19 a.m. - 7 lbs. 2 oz, 20 1/2 inches ( a little early) - Labor was intense, but everyone is well. She is 2 weeks old & growing fast! Clark has uploaded many pictures at http://picasaweb.google.com/ClarkandLucy - I will update this page as often as possible. We are so excited to have Mia here and well!

Sept. 14 (Week 38) 2 weeks away! Still hanging in there, feeling pretty good, having trouble sleeping, but we're still on track for Oct. 1st. Dilated only 1/2 cm and she was 6 lb, 9oz last week. Next appt. is Thurs. Getting excited & ready for her to be here!

Sept. 2 (Week 36) 4 weeks away.....going to doc weekly & he's predicting delivery in Week 38 or 39 & a weight of 6 lb 3-5 oz. Now if he could only predict the Lottery numbers, we'd be set! My mom is packed & ready for the 'call!' I feel fine except for having some trouble sleeping; luckily, i can nap each day which helps! I'm having an ultrasound this Friday, so we'll have better idea of when/what to expect.

Aug 12 (Week 34) Wow, 6 more weeks to go! She now weighs approx. 4 1/2 lbs. & is the size of a small bag of sugar. She supposedly is sleeping more and entering REM sleep. I believe she must be kicking during REM or something weird is happening b/c she does not sleep & neither does her mommy! She is active!!
We had 2 beautiful Baby Showers this weekend & there are some photos below. They were both lovely and our friends and family are so generous and loving! She received so many wonderful gifts....we are thrilled with everything! Her nursery is finally finished & we are ready for her to be here! Clark finalzied our lists for the hospital and wants to start packing our bag now! I think he's ready too!

July 29 (Wk 31) She weighs almost 4 lbs. and is getting cramped. Her eyes can recognize light from inside so it's cool to flash a light on the belly when it's dark and feel her react/move! All is going well & i'm going in every 2 weeks now for check-ups & to meet all the docs in the practice. Clark & i are almost finished with the nursery & are excited about our Showers in August! No name yet.....i think we'll wait until she's born to decide.

July 11 (Wk 28 1/2) Amazing how much changes & grows in a week! Baby Girlie has doubled her weight in the past month & is now about 2 1/2 pounds & approx 15" long! She's about the size of a bag of flour!

We had our 4-D Ultrasound (a 3-D in real time) & wow, what an amazing way to capture photos of your baby! Clark & i were thrilled to be able to see so much -- she was sleeping at first and pressed up against the uterus (hence her smushed nose in some photos), but after i ate a Jolly Rancher & tapped on my belly, she moved enough to capture some shots.

Everything looks good & normal...i tried to count 10 fingers & toes and almost saw all of them, whew. I think she has Clark's nose & my mouth. She even opened an eye for one of the photos & smiled in another - she's already learning to pose! I have slowed down a bit & need more rest , but am feeling fine....Next reg'l Ultrasound is 7/24.

July 1 (Wk 27) -- Whew...we made it! Girlie (yes, still no name) is now about 2 lbs., about 12-15" long, the size of a small pot roast. All tests are normal & we have decided to get the 4-D ultrasound on 7/9. We will post these pictures of what the baby looks like inside the womb! It should be cool!

June 24 (Wk 26) -- I cannot believe we're almost in the Third Trimester (next week)! Girlie is about 1 1/4 lb. this week & if she could stand, she would be about 1 ft. tall! Last week was very active; i had my 11- yr. old niece, her best friend (BFF) & my friend & her 12 yr old in town & boy were we tired each night! I kept forgetting how much energy anyone under the age of 18 has! Baby Girlie kicked each night & Hanna, Lexy & Hannah were thrilled to put their hands on my tummy.

Clark put the crib together & it finally 'hit home' that we will soon be having a baby!

Feeling pretty good & will post more after my appt. tomorrow (6/24).

June 10 (Wk 24) --
Girlie weighs a little over a 1 lb. & is the size of a banana. She startled me with her kicking one night as i was reading, but it sure was great to finally feel her! Clark gave us a few Lullaby & Classical music CD's so we've been placing the CD headphones on her at night so she can sleep to the sweet & lovely music.
